Claim Your $10 Uber Voucher from Houston ConnectSmart for a Responsible Ride Home This 4th of July Weekend!

As Independence Day approaches, TxDOT Houston is once again encouraging residents to “Be Responsible. Ride, Don’t Drive” to and from your events this 4th of July and weekend. Once you have downloaded the Houston ConnectSmart app, all you need to do to claim your $10 Uber voucher is take at least one trip (either by driving, walking, biking, transit or carpooling) between July 3rd and 7th using the ConnectSmart app! Upon completion of your trip, you’ll get a link for your $10 Uber voucher which can be used towards an Uber ride to or from anywhere in the greater Houston area between July 3rd and 7th, compliments of ConnectSmart. 

Separate from your Uber voucher, after taking your second trip you will have earned the 5 Coins in the ConnectSmart app needed for a gift card to Amazon, Visa, Starbucks, Target, and more! You can also spend your Coins on transit tickets or carpooling.

How to Obtain Your Uber Voucher:

• Make sure you’ve downloaded ConnectSmart from the Apple App Store or Google Play and created an account

• Use ConnectSmart to take a trip by any mode of travel (e.g., driving, taking transit, walking, biking, or carpooling) from July 3rd - 7th, 2024, to ensure you’re all set up

• After your trip is completed, you’ll receive an alert in the ConnectSmart app with your voucher offer (we’ll send you an email too)

• Tap on the button provided in the ConnectSmart app or the email to open the Uber app and claim your voucher

• Your voucher will be saved in the Uber app and ready to use when requesting an Uber ride from July 3rd - 7th, 2024*

Qualifications: 

* This offer is only available to individuals who live in the Greater Houston area.

* This offer lasts until supplies run out. Only the first 500 people to claim the voucher in the ConnectSmart app will be eligible for a discounted ride.

* Trips must begin or end within the Greater Houston area for the designated dates from July 3rd-7th, 2024. Voucher expires on July 7, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
